Treatment Philosophy

It is the treatment philosophy and mission of Caron Renaissance to reverse the multi-systemic process of chemical dependency and other disorders along the obsessive-compulsive spectrum.  Clinical interventions are driven by a positive belief in personal change, which Caron Renaissance believes is best accomplished in an environment that challenges self-deception, is non-enabling and supports conscious progress directed toward a mutual win-win of social interdependence.

Recognizing the impact of addiction on the individual and the family, Caron Renaissance’s treatment philosophy is centered around the belief that “the patient is the family and the family is the patient.”  To that end, the family is wholly integrated into the treatment process.

Caron Renaissance utilizes cutting-edge treatment interventions that address the many emotional, behavioral, and psychological components of addiction and accompanying psychiatric disorders.  Our comprehensive treatment programs address co-occurring disorders such as mood disorders, i.e. depression and anxiety, and characterlogical disorders, i.e. narcissism and borderline personality disorder, while simultaneously focusing on family of origin issues and drug and alcohol addictions.

Caron Renaissance’s treatment philosophy also integrates Addiction Interaction Disorder (AID) within its treatment programs to address and treat coexisting conditions such as gambling, sexual concerns, eating disorders along with an individual’s alcohol or drug dependency.

The goals of treatment at Caron Renaissance are to:

  • Provide patients with a roadmap to recovery
  • Engage patients in identifying the core issues that are holding them back from being successful in life
  • Create a healthy family system
