Caron Renaissance utilizes "the best of the best" clinical staff who are licensed, certified, and trained to provide the kind of care our treatment model requires. Staff are also expected to have a knowledge and appreciation for the dynamics of 12-step recovery. Staff understand that treatment is not simply an inpatient imitation of 12-step recovery; rather, treatment is designed to remove the obstacles and barriers that have prevented someone from being able to work a program of recovery.

Owing to the model of treating Addiction Interaction Disorder concurrently with the involvement of Attachment Disorder therapy, clinical services must engage the patient at several levels and offer multiple forms of specialized care. Even as the "primary addiction" or "drug of choice" is usually immediately evident, other addictions and forms of addictive thinking only emerge as skilled clinicians engage with the patients and watch carefully for these things to appear. Thus something as simple as dishes left unwashed in the sink can be addressed as an example of self-centeredness, and the failure to engage with self-help groups can reveal severe attachment problems.

Many patients also present problems related to sexuality, childhood sexual abuse, and sexual addiction, Specialized clinicians help patients both in individual and group settings to deal with these issues. Other forms of post-traumatic stress are also addressed in special groups.

Many patients will identify other problems such as compulsive gambling and eating disorders. Once again, the Addiction Interaction Disorder model allows for and even anticipates that these other problems will emerge.

The connection among addictions and such psychiatric disorders as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorders is undeniable.
