HOUSEKEEPER
Primary Responsibilities: To ensure a healthy, safe, clean and attractive environment for patients, staff, and visitors of Caron Renaissance.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains inventory of all apartment accessories, kitchen utensils, cookware and linens in apartments and surplus stockroom.
- Ensures that all assigned areas meet standards of cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, cleaning ovens and stovetops, dusting, vacuuming, etc.
- Executes work orders to perform required housekeeping services.
- Reports all potential hazards, property damage or unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Department to ensure a safe environment.
- Maintains, cleans, repairs (if indicated) equipment
Desired Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Qualifications:
- One year housekeeping experience working in a medical setting preferred
- Must produce and maintain a valid and clean driver’s license
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to climb stairs and step ladders up to 5 ft.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, push, and pull as necessary to perform required tasks
- Must be able to work around odors, chemicals and extreme temperatures
- Must be able to work overtime and on off-hours, if necessary
- If in recovery, two years of continued sobriety preferred

COUNSELOR ASSISTANT
Primary Responsibilities: The Counselor Assistant provides a strong therapeutic relationship for the patient, coordinates care among the multidisciplinary team, and supports the course of treatment through a written treatment plan.
Essential Functions:
- Conducts patients’ intakes efficiently gathering all required information
- Provides effective supervision and supports patients acclimating to treatment
- Follows and documents clinical directives passed on from the clinical team
- Identifies immediate needs of the patients
- Monitors/conducts drug screens
- Monitors and records patients’ medications including medications errors, missed medications, etc.
- Monitors patients, property and apartments throughout the shift to ensure safety of the environment.
- Exchanges information at change of shift, giving incoming staff all information necessary to anticipate possible problems and issues and provide effective patient supervision.
- Transports patients to and from treatment offices, medical appointments, meetings, etc
Desired Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Certified Addiction Counselor preferred
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate knowledge addictions, the recovery process and 12-Step fellowships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must produce and maintain a valid and clean driver’s license
- If in recovery, two years of continues sobriety preferred
- Ability to use clinical software and other computer programs
- Ability to work various shifts

CASE SPECIALIST
Primary Responsibilities: The Case Specialist serves as a triage for incoming queries regarding treatment. The Case Specialist explores all information necessary to determine that the potential patient qualifies for care at this facility and meets ASAM patient placement criteria. The Case Specialist also explores patient-family dynamics in a way which prepares the patient and family for the Caron Renaissance Clinical Philosophy.
Essential Functions:
- Evaluates and determines appropriateness of admissions by gathering and assessing information from all available sources
- Collaborates/communicates with the multidisciplinary team ( e.g., Executive Director, Case Specialist Director, Clinical Director, Medical Director, residence staff, business office, etc.) on all admissions
- Responds to all inquiries from referral sources, potential patients and families and outside agencies/individuals in a professional and timely manner
- Communicates professionally and effectively with potential patients, families, referrants, and staff throughout the admissions process to ensure a smooth admissions process
- Provides potential patients and families with all necessary program information including requirements, expectations, financial obligations
- Assesses for financial aid, makes payment arrangements with the guarantor, and collects initial payment
- Coordinates with clinical staff to facilitate family member participation the Residential Family Restructuring Program
- Follows up with families and referrants post-admission
- Maintains and communicates patient census, bed location and therapist caseload data
Desired Education: Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related human services field and/or Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) in Florida preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience in an addiction treatment setting, preferably in admissions, including direct contact with patients, families, and referring professionals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use clinical software and other computer programs
- An excellent understanding of the emotional and behavioral effects of addiction
- If in recovery, two years of continued sobriety preferred
- Ability to be “on-call” on a regular basis
