Aftercare Services
What patients do when they complete treatment is as important as what they do in treatment itself. With this in mind, Caron Renaissance provides extensive aftercare services locally and is also networked with qualified therapists and programs worldwide. Aftercare services include continuing care groups, structured individual and family counseling, and aftercare groups. Patient alumni provide ongoing support for patients both during and after treatment.
Two other key factors in the aftercare services are the Renaissance vocational program and college consulting services for patients who are beginning or wish to return to higher education. The vocational program is an important part of the residential and outpatient treatment, consisting of two group meetings daily, individual sessions with a vocational counselor, and occasional all-day workshops designed to improve job seeking awareness and interview skills. Vocational counselors work closely with patients as they make the transition to the workplace, and aftercare services support the process of adjusting to “life on life’s terms.” Specialized college consulting services help patients and their families identify key academic needs, access to higher education information and funding, and ongoing support at and during the entry or re-entry to college.
